The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) through the Climate Change and Sustainability Division and the Knowledge and Learning Department is organizing the Regional Workshop “Climate Change and Public Finance” to be hold on April 2 and 3, 2012 in Lima, Peru. This event will be a dialogue on the impact of climate change on public finance in the region. The event aims to share knowledge, lessons learned, and best practices about the design and implementation of different instruments and mechanisms to confront the fiscal impact of climate change.

Participants in this workshop includes Ministries of Finance,  Directors of Public Credit and officials in charge of budget planning, public investment, and climate change topics. Renowned international experts on the subject will also participate.
