The Transport Division of the Department of Infrastructure and Energy from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) is organizing the 6th Regional Policy Dialogue Transport Network Meeting, on October 27th and 28th, 2016 in Miami, Florida, United States.
The topic of the meeting will be Innovation in Urban Mobility focusing on the new models of provision of transport services in urban areas called in different contexts as shared mobility, mobility on-demand or mobility as a service. The meeting will address the legal and regulatory framework of sharing mobility platforms, innovative technology solutions for urban transport and planning management as well as the impacts, main challenges and opportunities generated to public and private actors and the users.
The meeting aims to bring together officials from the Ministerial level, both nationally and locally. These officials manage development, design and implementation of urban mobility policies, such as regulation, technology and new sustainability models in smart cities.
The dialogue will focus on the main challenges and opportunities faced by the public and private sectors. The meeting will include the participation of IDB specialists and recognized experts who will share valuable knowledge, experiences and lessons learned.
