XXVI Assembly of Ministers and High-Level Authorities on Housing and Urban Development of Latin America and the Caribbean

The Regional Policy Dialogue (DRP) is one of the IDB's main platforms to promote the exchange of experiences and knowledge among senior officials from LAC and experts in key areas.

The objective of DRP is to create a space for discussion and exchange of experiences exploring possible areas of regional cooperation, with the aim of reducing the gap between the real investment needs and the investment projected by the countries.

Dialogue participants in the sector of Habitat, Housing and Urban Development, include deputy ministers or public officials of equivalent rank of the 26 IDB member countries of Latin America and the Caribbean, responsible for the design, implementation and execution of habitat and housing policies in their Respective countries.

The objectives of the meeting are:

Provide a space for reflection and dialogue on public policies and challenges in the areas of housing, habitat and urban development in LAC.

Build consensus on the critical elements of planning and design, governance and institutionality, and financing, which are necessary for the implementation of the New Urban Agenda in the countries of the region.

To share experiences and lessons learned in the design and execution of urban intervention programs and projects in cities in the region.

Strengthen teamwork relationships among MINURVI member countries.

Generate a Knowledge product that documents the shared learning and experiences during the meeting for later dissemination.
