About the event

To provide support in the creation of new business opportunities via business matchmaking meetings, the Inter-American Development Bank through the Integration and Trade Sector (INT), together with its Country Departments for Central America, Mexico, Colombia and the Dominican Republic (CID) through the Mesoamerica Project, the Andean Development Corporation (CAF), and the Italian Cooperation for Development, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is organizing “LAC Flavors 2011”: A Buyer-Sellers Meeting that will take place in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic on July 14th and 15th, 2011. LAC FLAVORS is an annual trade fair that brings together food exporters from LAC and international buyers to create new business opportunities. During the 2009 and 2010 editions, held in Cancun, Mexico and Cartagena, Colombia respectively, were a huge success, together generating US$16 million in business deals.

LAC Flavors 2011, will bring together approximately 100 SME exporters from fresh and processed fruits and vegetables, seafood, dairy products, natural, organic, fair trade and gluten free sectors. During two days, these LAC SMEs will be able to network, discuss their needs and capabilities, and do business with North American, Canadian and Asian importers of food products.
