The Inter-American Development Bank (IADB), the Association of Supervisors of Banks of the Americas (ASBA) and the Latin American Banking Federation (FELABAN) are organizing their Public Sector-Private Sector Dialogue on “Constructing a Reliable and Inclusive Financial Sector: Public and Private Policy Priorities,” which will be held within the framework of the Regional Policy Dialogue of the Banking Regulation Network on December 5th and 6th, 2011 at the Hotel JW Marriot, 1331 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW Washington, DC 20004, Room: Capital  Ballroom F and G.

The Network is comprised by high level representatives from the Bank´s borrowing member countries that are members of the Association of Supervisors of Banks of the Americas (ASBA) and the Latin American Banking Federation (FELABAN). The network aims to analyze, harmonize and integrate ideas and strategies driven by regulatory bodies and by financial institutions from Latin America and the Caribbean, to promote the development and strengthening of the financial sector and financial inclusion.

On this occasion the dialogue will bring together bankers, regulators and supervisors and representatives of the technical cooperation community to analyze the implications of Basel II and III reforms for the Banking System of Latin America and the Caribbean, the Principles of Corporate Governance Regulation for Supervision Agencies and, the Promotion of Transparency and Protection to Users of Financial Services in the Region.
