5th Citizen Security Intensive Training Clinic: “What can we learn from some experiences in violence prevention and police reform?”

The Institutional Capacity of State division (IFD/ICS) and the Department of Knowledge and Learning (KNL) of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), are jointly organizing the 5th Citizen Security Intensive Training Clinic: “What can we learn from some experiences in violence prevention and police reform?” This event will take place on September 12 and 13, 2012 in Washington, DC.

The main objective of the Clinic is to learn about violence prevention and police reform initiatives with some elements of impact assessment, implemented by the US, Canada, and Latin American and Caribbean countries. Additionally, the Clinic will include a field visit, in which experts, policymakers, and specialists in this field can share their experiences, thus providing participants with skills and knowledge derived from specific cases.
