TRANSPORTATION
Routes
Foromic will provide transportation services from official hotels to the events associated with the Forum. To facilitate attendance at social events, transportation will be provided from event site / social event / official hotels Information on bus routes will be available soon.
Transportation from airport to hotel or hotel to airport is the responsibility of participants.

For your safety, it is recommended to take an airport taxi which would cost around US$25 (S/.300 Mexican pesos) for a one way trip to the Expo Guadalajara area. The taxi booth is located right outside the customs area, dollars-cash, credit cards and local currency are accepted.

Taxi service will be available outside the Expo Guadalajara.
ACCOMMODATION
Official Hotels Rates and Reservations
If you choose to stay at one of the official hotels, you should make your reservation no later than August 15th. After that date, Foromic cannot guarantee the availability of rooms nor preferential rates.
Foromic has reserved rooms for participants in a number of hotels in Guadalajara. To obtain Foromic hotel rates, participants must first register for the conference and then provide their registration number when making hotel reservations.
To make a reservation, one of the following credit cards must be used: Visa, MasterCard or AMEX.
Participants are advised to purchase travel insurance to protect against losses due to cancelations, delayed or canceled flights, illness, or emergencies.
Comparative table
Foreign participants are exempted to pay the 16% VAT provided that upon arrival at their hotel (check-in), passport and migration form are presented. If such documents are not presented, the hotel will charge the VAT.
This benefit does not apply to Mexican participants.

GENERAL
Guadalajara Guadalajara International Airport (GDL) Climate
The city was named Guadalajara in approximately 1532, by its founder, Nuño Beltrán de Guzmán, who wished to honor his birthplace in Spain by baptizing the new city with the same name.

Guadalajara´s Miguel Hidalgo International Airport has Mexico´s second most important terminal area in Mexico in terms of flights and third most important in number of passengers.

Temperatures in the city can range from 30º C during the day to 15º C at night. The period between May and October is characterized by rain and strong winds.
Dress Electricity Emergencies
Semiformal dress is recommended for both the daytime sessions and evening events. Remember that temperatures in conference rooms may vary. The electric current in Guadalajara is 110 volts, 60 cycles, (same as the United States and Canada). If you have personal items that operate on 220 volts, you may request appropriate adapters at the front desk of your hotel. Note that electrical outlets require plugs with flat pins. In the event of a medical emergency, whether due to illness or some other ailment, please go to the emergency medical service, located inside the Expo Guadalajara venue.

Currency Converter
Language Local Currency - Mexican Peso
Please note that foreign currency can only be exchanged in banks or official exchange offices; hotels do not offer this service. Simultaneous interpretation services will be available from English to Spanish and vice-versa at all of the event´s sessions. The official currency of Mexico is the Mexican Peso. One American dollar equals 12 Mexican pesos.
Taxes Time Zone and Business Hours Travel and Health Insurance
Mexico´s Value Added Tax, or IVA, is 16% on purchases or consumption. An additional tax of 3% is applied to lodging. The official time zone in Guadalajara UTC -6 Business hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Shopping centers are open from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Neither Foromic nor the logistics firm are responsible for participants´ medical or travel insurance, or any theft or personal accidents they may encounter.
Participants are advised to take appropriate precautionary measures in this regard.
Safety Vaccinations Visas
Participants are advised to observe the same general safety precautions that they would abide by when traveling to any major city.

Some nationalities require a travel visa to visit Mexico. We recommend that you check with the Mexican Consulate in your country or the following link to verify whether you require a visa.
