General Information
Place and date of the meeting: The Fifty-eight Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Inter-American Development Bank and the Thirty-second Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Inter-American Investment Corporation will be held in Asuncion, Paraguay, from March 30 to April 2 2017. The meeting will take place at the Comite Olimpico Paraguayo (COP).
About Asuncion: Asuncion is the capital of Paraguay and biggest city.
How to get there: The Comite Olimpico Paraguayo is located approximately 4.5 km from the Airport and 12 km from downtown.
Language: Spanish and Guarani.

Visa: Entry requirements differ depending on what country of which you are a resident and citizen. Accommodations: The organizing committee from Paraguay will be responsible for all inquiries regarding accommodations of participant.
Weather: Asuncion has an average annual temperature of 23°C/73°F. Weather forecasts can be found at www.weather.com.
Electricity: Electrical current is 220 and 240 volts AC. You would need plug adapter and voltage converter (step-down transformer) to use 110-120V electronics.
Time zone: During the Annual Meeting, Asuncion will be -4 hours from the Greenwich Mean Time (GMT-4).

Airport arrival, customs and immigration: The host country will have duly identified staff available at Silvio Pettirossi International Airport to assist arriving participants.
Tourism information about Paraguay: General information about flights, sightseeing, the history and culture of the area, and additional details on services available in Paraguay during the Annual Meeting can be found on the website made available by the host country.
Simultaneous interpretation: During the official sessions and seminars, simultaneous interpretation will be provided into the Bank’s official languages: English, French, Portuguese, and Spanish.
Other services: An emergency health unit will be available on site. Cellular phone rental service and ATM machines will also be available.
